Our 12 year old Honda was (apparently) having some issues with the transmission. Given the age, and general decrepitude of the car, we wanted to see if it was just a bad sensor, or something more serious (and unlikely to be fixed...). Imagine our shock when the fault could not be duplicated. Jim Jennings took the time to make sure that the fault wouldn't come back, and, after putting many hours of labor into diagnosing the non-issue, only charged us for the gas they put in it for test drives (oops, sorry about that guys). There is a reason we drive all the way over to Essex, and this is a perfect example. Given that for most of us the transmission is the most expensive part of our car we are ever likely to have fixed, it only makes sense to take it somewhere you can trust you are getting the work you need to have done, the best that it can be, at a reasonable price.

Worked on all my cars for years they are the best in the business and have been around for over 50 years. Super Friendly everyone I know at some point has gone to Jim Jennings Transmissions. Keep up the good work!!!

I have had transmissions replaced in 2 vehicles by Jim Jennings Transmissions over the past 10 years and they have proven to be a company of their word. They have stood behind their work whenever adjustments needed to be made & always have taken the time to check things out thoroughly. In my opinion, they're the best!

We took our van in because it needed transmission work. The people we dealt with were friendly and seemed to know their business. We were quoted a reasonable price and they told us when it would be ready. The van was finished on time and we were real satisfied with the work they did on it. I would certainly do business with them again.

Jims Jennings Transmission is an Essex landmark. Known for quality service, this company has been in business for over two decades. It's a family run company, with an owner who is well known in the Essex area.At first view of this location, you will find exotic plants framing the clean exterior of the building. Clear lettering and clean windows great every customer. Walking in, you will find at least three people ready to help take care of whatever your car may need. These gentlemen are friendly and really know what they are talking about. Once your information is given, you may be directed to the rather clean waiting area. In the waiting area, you will find fresh coffee, a small vending machine as well as a water dispenser. These things are always available to customers. There is a television and even coloring books/toys for the children. The work done to the vehicle is always quality, done by well trained mechanics. The cars are road tested before and after the service. The prices are competitive and the turn around time is reasonable. All in all, it's a great place to take your car.
